About this Site
This is the web site for Biomedical Engineering Senior Design courses at

NC State University (BME 451 & 452).

About Senior Design
Senior design is a two-semester required course designed to help students prepare for the workplace and/or graduate studies. The course uses a Design Control Process based on the FDA's Quality System Regulations to move student teams from a Needs Assessment through Product Development and Testing. Each team progresses through 5 phases, completing over 30 controlled deliverables, while maintaining a Design History File.

About Sponsors
The success of Senior Design is largely dependent on students being given the opportunity to work on real-world design problems, both academic and commercial. If you are interested in learning more about how you can contribute to, and benefit from being a Design Sponsor, please visit the Senior Design Solicitation page.

Acknowledgements
Senior Design could not happen without the support of many contributors, including sponsors, guest speakers, financial supporters, and many others contributing in-kind supplies, services, and technical assistance.
