Nina Allen, an adjunct BME faculty member, experienced some BME herself. Dr. Harry Jorgesen at University of California San Francisco replaced her worn-out knee.The knee already had been operated on four times over the last 33 years due to skiing and auto accident injuries. The two top images are the knee X-rays just before the operation. the lower two images are the knee with its new bionic parts. It works quite well already. |
