The Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience is currently recruiting a research programmer.
Responsibilities for this position include designing, developing, and supporting software required to analyze functional and structural MRI data in clinical populations. The programmer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that works to integrate the findings of a broad spectrum of approaches including:
- resting state functional MRI
- simultaneous EEG/fMRI
- diffusion tensor imaging
- cortical thickness
- voxel-based morphometry
Flexibility exists for the development of novel analytic approaches and algorithms.
Required Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field required (advanced degree preferred). Alternative degree fields will be considered/accepted if accompanied by equivalent experience (depending on nature and depth of experience as it relates to relevant projects).
- Two years related work experience.
- Extensive experience in Perl, BASH or similar scripting language.
- Extensive background in C / C++ languages.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX environments.
Anticipated start date: fall, 2009
Salary: $85,000 + Benefits
